| Forgot to mention in my last post that Jane made pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving too! And were they yummy - lots better than mine. I think the secret ingredient is molasses.
We've been sick for the last couple days - flu symptoms. I finally feel better tonight. I also hurt my back somehow in VA and was pretty sore, but it is getting better too. So I really hope to get back to the swimming pool tomorrow. It's been two weeks! |

| We had a wonderful time in Virginia for Thanksgiving. The weather was beautiful and the company even better. Sure wish we all lived closer. But Gabe is in a great program and of course, we want the best for them. But maybe some year.....? Gabe cooked a delicious Thanksgiving meal and we visited with their good friends Andrew and Molaika and cute Edmund. The next day we visited UVA. Saw the Rotunda (modeled after Monticello) and the academical village. Then went to the library and saw an original broadside of the Declaration of Independence. What history! Thomas Jefferson founded the University because he knew that having educated citizens is crucial to maintaining our freedoms. (have things ever changed since then! We need to get back to teaching the Constitution to our children, the future leaders of our country.) On Sat. we were able to get together with my cousin Sonja & Pat and their children Shelby & Jensen. (They were headed to a UVA vs V. Tech game and have divided loyalties!) My uncle Art and his wife Anne were also there and it was great to see all of them. Sunday we went to church and then on to Monticello, T. Jefferson's home. More history! The rest of the time was spent "hangin' out" with Vesper and parents - going to the playground to swing Vesper, watching SYTYCD, visiting, babysitting, etc.
Now we are back to 9º (feels like -3ยบ with wind chill). Brrrr! Don't think we'll get lights on the house this year unless it warms up quite a bit! |

| We attended the Minot T.E.A. Party last Wed. Here is a place you can see a news video. About 1/2 way through is a quick view of a sign saying "$12 trillion..........". That's ME holding it. The news clip says there were over 500 people there. We heard there were 700 - hmmmmm. (Still not as good a showing as Williston and Minot is a lot bigger. But at least they had one.)

I don't know how to put this in as an actual link - please forgive me. |
